Wow... it's not blown out on my end... there are traces of clouds in the white... hmmmm..... mabe just the differences in monitor settings. As for the trees. If ya have seen my shots before, these trees have a place. I have been photographing them in various light/weather conditions for 20 years. I won't bore ya with the sites and connections, but if ya go back through my posts, you will see these trees in more detail. I just used them to anchor the image... with the passing gray and the oncomming blue as balance. Sorry about the blown out bits... I don't see that on my end.

this is an interesting approach to capturing the skyscape - part of me wants to see more of the trees in the lower frame - also, if possible, I really feel this shot would benefit if you could wrangle some of those blown out highlight areas, as that's the first place my eyes tending to drift to in your composition, as opposed to the trees which, visually at least, I found more compelling - good shooting nonetheless
