My father is the man at the right, Pieter Willem Goldhoorn.He died april 11th 2008 . The woman in blue is my mom.Feikje Goldhoorn-Smilda. She died februari 15th 2010
The visitors are George and Gertrude Veeneman from the USA. They are relatives on my mums side. Steve Veeneman is their son.
Harold Veeneman, brother of George, visited us and my grandparents, Abel and Resnktje Smilda, in ~ 1975, he was then married with Beatrice.
Marc Veeneman the son of Harold and ....? Please clarify ;-)
Later on I visited Harold in Los Angeles in winter of 1982/1983. He had then remarried with Lourene.
Common link is Fokje van der Veen, she was auntie of Harold and George ( or from Celia Pelton ).
Fokje van der Veen, was the sister of my mothers grandmother, Feiktje van der Veen.
So there was a third van der Veen, She was Gertrude Vanderveen, travelled to the USA and she married Henry Veeneman.
They gave birth to Harold and George Veeneman (as well as Celia Pelton-Veeneman ?
Feiktje van der Veen was married with Hendrik Smilda, residence Boerakker. They gave birth to many children.
Abel Smilda, married Rensktje Krol, is the father of Feikje Smilda, my mum.

I am still in search of the roots of Feiktje and Fokje and Gertrude van der Veen and my feeling says they came from the province of Friesland. Probably they came from the region near Leeuwarden .
