No, James, raising the ISO would not smooth, but merely introduce increasing levels of noise. I guess if you wanted, you could add some film grain to mask the finer details.

No, you got it right. Film didn't used to be so cruel to the skin. I was just speculating that raising the ISO might act like smoothing does only without that smoothing look.

Well, I could always apply some smoothing, but I really do prefer to be able to SEE all the pores in a model's skin - it's REAL.
Or, are you saying that you think it's over-sharpened?
