Nice Stuart. My first thought was that it is a little over sharperened. The edges in the middle red bit (excuse me dropping into the technical flower terms) seem, well, too well defined and what I see when I try to push the sharpen lever too far. That said, it's a very cool look into this inner world. And without a tripod to boot (unless, of coures, this was an 8 foot tall plant??).

Hi Matej. Yes this weekends work - I was a little disappointed by my captures as I was a very special location that is very famous in the art world (as I have mentioned B4) This was rather a snapshot taken outside someone?s home...no tripod and not much time! Thanks for your comments as well - I have no idea what the flower was, it looked like a Lilly in shape and size though. I have read somewhere that you should not look at your days photo?s until the next day as the location is fresh in the mind and you can?t appreciate the captures ? I think may be that?s the case with today?s takings!

Hey Stuart, another impressive floral macro! This weekend's work? Nice & sharp as always, with DOF shallow enough to keep the eyes on the red middle of the flower (I don't know the botanical term, would you care to enlighten me?), yet deep enough to show us the lines and curves and texture of the surrounding petals. I think it would be slightly better with the camera positioned a bit lower, to get the main subject off the vertical centre. What about that green spot near the top? Perhaps some delicate petal manipulation would be in order :-)
