About Yet another attempt to get the leaf as well as I could under the strong sunlight. I think I should zoom in a bit more for having both more of the leaf and less overexposure because of my averafe light metering. Any comments would be very welcome.

Yes, that's my own convinction too, Indranil! I have often referred here to that kind of general mania of our days for close-ups.

Specifically now about this one, I come more and more to same conclusion too. Perhaps it could contain a bit less of the pavement for getting the leaf a bit bigger, but this way it is also OK.

Thanks a lot again for putting my mind in this direction!

Thanks a lot again, Aziz!

So it seems that it was not as bad to not zoom in any closer.

Cheers!

Thanks once more, Indranil! So, I think that the comments go in the direction which makes a closer zoom not necessary, ey? I am glad for that, really!

Cheers!

Thanks a lot, Noemi!

I would lose some of the part on the street, the texture of which is repeated over and over anyway. Not a real loss, I guess. Of course I would keep the shadow, though.

Cheers!

I like this one more than earlier try. May be for wider frame and the texture of back ground.

WOW, Lovely composition. IMHO, it looks fine here without zoom. Yes, the image is little overexposed but contrast between background and leaf is excellent.

Cheers!

A nicely done composition, the way you've isolated the one leaf, Nick!

Ahhh crispy leaves! This image has nice texture and great earth tones. A close might gain more detail, but which others might you lose? I like the shadow...don't lose that ;)
