About Saw these on a sand bar as I was fishing. Notice the butterfly in the middle. Very small. I used the fish eye feature on the camera for this shot.
Be well, Stan

Thanks Erland, one of my yellow models I caught in the raw. The butterfly was a bonus. When you are 30 miles from the closet town you have to settle for what you find nearby. Hope to do some studio stuff this winter. This year has been a great learning experience with the camera. Thanks for all of you support and encouragement. Your work shows me all of the possibilities out there. Thanks again!

Remove batteries, switch camera on and let it stand for 24 hours or a week. Some CMOS may still be blocked. Just a try,

Hi Harry, went to use this this morning and it died. Only gives the dreaded error. System error!!
Rebooted baterry but no go. Oh well, got some nice images from it before it's death.

Thanks Mojgan, so glad you liked it. Was trying a setting I had not used before, I will remember to use it again. The light was about 1/2 an hour before sunset and was really making these humble flowers glow. You are really a treat with your wonderful comments. Makes me feel good!

Hi Harry, this was a shot from a little 3.3mp Nikon Coolpix with a fixed telephoto lens that I bought in a garage sale last year. My first Digital camera. I took it fishing with me and caught this and the sunset that night. I used the fish eye setting on this since I was fishing. Thought that was an appropriate thing to do. I like the DOF with this feature. I think I am far from pro, the check is still in the mail!! Glad you liked this one. I like this little camera but the shutter lag drives me nuts. Just hard to get used to after shooting 35 slr all of life. Thanks for the compliments.

Ohh lucky fish! I do not fish as often as I used to but when I do occassionally it's while camping and only eat what I catch for the day. Good deal on the P&S. My previous camera is a P&S and it still gets used for when I go kayaking or other activities where I don't want to risk damaging my DSLR. They do a pretty good job! I like the images yours produces. Glad you took it along and shared your lovely evening with us here. I will have a good time with the pups later today... maybe I'll take a pic or two with my P&S (I have a waterproof camera bag for it).

Have a nice Sunday Stan,
Brigitte

Thanks Tommaso. I was trying the fish eye setting to get that DOF going on. Had never tried that before with this little gem of a camera. The light really popped the colors and detail of these flowers.
Be well and thanks again, Stan

Thanks Brigitte, this was taken with my garage sale PandS $40 Nikon. It is a 3.3 MP 2.5 Zoom. Does a nice job and fits in my vest easily. I put the fish all back because I had already had dinner. I was playing with the fish eye setting for this picture. Have a great Kayak experience today and make sure the pups help with all of the gear.
