About I was returning home from work when I saw the illuminated garden. Almost each plant had its lamp. Some days ago I heard the people that lived in that house talking about protection of the environment. Oh well...

I think I should have zoomed in much more than I did, shouldn't I? But how much more? Any comments would be very welcome.

OK, then we have another possibility for a better shot next time.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot, Aziz!

Together with the three different views about the amount of darkness on the image I have yet another one that resembles mine now. I also think that all zooms would result into an intersting image.

About grain, this time it is only darkness and so I also don't see any kind of advantage to that. It is too weak to play a role and too strong for being neglected. I interpolated luminance on the darkness for "softening" the grain. (Attachment.) Did that work in your sense?

Cheers!

Interopolated luminance on darkness after aziz' view about grain

Thanks again, Dave!

So we have now three different views, which I find very nice! Harry would zoom out, Saad would zoom in, and you would (more or less) stay there.

In this case I thnk of all three possibilities and I find all three very attractive.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot, Saad!

So we have two diametrically opposite views on this. While Harry would rather zoom out, you would rather zoom in. Interesting.

Let's have a thought about the subject. What is the subject here? Is that the illuminated plant? Well, yes and no. It's about waste, the waste of resources as the about box implies. It's about the useless illumination of the plant. So the darkness seems to also belong to the subject itself. Not easy to say how much to keep and how much to cut off for allowing it to also play a strong role.

Cheers!

"Ego prevails above everything."

Until it left nothing more intact to prevail above, ey? ;-)

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Wolf. And even more for the idea to zoom out that makes me think of yet another possibility I was ignoring before.

Cheers!

It's beautiful, although both zoom in and zoom out could lead to another beautiful result.
And I think more zoom in would be better.
Colors are very eye catching. I don't know wether grains could be dissapeared totally or not . They're disturbing.

I think by leaving the space around the plant and light you've emphasized the plant very well, Nick.

the subject is taking less than 25% of the canvas area, this a too much,my regards,
Saad.

Ego prevails above everything.
No, not zoom in, more zoom out, to show the context and absurdity.
