Excellent idea and well executed composition. Unfortunately, the light on the right side is definitively too strong. I would also shoot with a tad more DOF, but that's a personal preference, I admit.
Overall, photo has a great potential and it would be great. If there is ANY way to reshoot it... you should.

Wonderful portrait! The only thing I have a problem with is the lighting. It's far too bright on the right side of the photo and it really shows in her hair and hand.
