Lovely photo of a beautiful bird, however, some more light on her face would be better.

I love photos of wildlife, but getting them can be so frustrating when the subjects don't wait for me to be ready :) .. anyway, there were 2 bits of advice someone gave me on this site when I first started posting wildlife and bird photos that I now use with every shot. The first was to always always always make sure the face of a bird (or most wildlife) is sharply in focus and well lit. The second.. a bird photo is generally more pleasing to the eye if more free space is in front of the subject, rather than behind. I have found by keeping these things in mind, I've been able to improve my bird photography without much effort. I just thought I'd pass the advice along to someone who is obviously enjoys the challenge of wildlife photography. Good luck!

Hallo Helene,
