About This was actually taken by my fellowphotographer, Mike Klensch, a skillful photographer from Alaska who specializes in auroraphotos.
We went to experience the redwoods and photograph a tiny part of those majestic old trees that made me feel like a humble guest.

Yes dear Newfman J:-) I had a wonderful trip to the westcoast experiencing so much beautiful nature and the redwoods were like a natural cathedral.
IŽve been ill over the summer which is why I havenŽt been active on UF.
But yes my Little Henry is doing well although getting older. He sleeps more now and is a bit stiff, but still going strong though:-)
How have your summer been?:-)

it looks like you're springing out from the tree!!

the centred positioning of the subject cannot be otherwise here. so, technically speaking i would only like to see a bit of more sharpness here. otherwise the tones are amazing, and the setting unique.

it must have been a hell of time there blueyed,

cheers,
v.

Thank you dear Brigitte- yes I felt so humble stepping into the redwoods and I was told that there were much larger areas and much older trees before there was settled a nationalpark because the lumbercompanies got busy and greedy- that makes me furious! Money rules too much.

Yes nature is wonderful and we must protect it - we canŽt live without it! I felt like taking part in Lord of the Rings and being with the ents when entering the forest!

compo and setting is really outstanding, just a minor nit: I'd burn a bit the righr superior corner (hand view) but the main problem is the soft focus in the model, I'd prefer a crispy one, but anyway a fine work; take care....txules
