This was taken at Ocean View area of Norfolk, VA. I had to stand between two trash dumptsers at a seafood restaurant (you can imagine the smell of trashed seafood..ewww) as well as 'swivel' my Coolpix 4500 to allow me to shoot over my head to avoid a chain fence, to get these photos! At first, one may think this photo is mirror-imaged on left and right, but it is not. If you look closely you see two different boats. The wave patterns you see are created by the boats passing each other. I live only 10 minutes drive from this place, so I will retry these photos over and over to improve them. Shutter: 1/62sec, Aperture: f/2.9. Shot handheld in Matrix mode. Photoshop used to frame only (no other alterations). Any advice please? -- Rodney
hi rodney.. it is a pity no one is looking at your picture.. this is a well done shot.. I also use a Nikon Coolpix 4500. I was wondering if you ever tried the Panaromic assist mode.. for a shot like this, you should try Panaromic mode with 2 frames..then you are talking of a really wide picture.. e-mail me privately so i can let you know.. i have posted very few images using the coolpix as it is relatively new to me.. about less than a month.. all my shots are Canon Elan IIe my faithful Film SLR..
