About The series "Florence, a city for living" starts with this one. It was some years agon, when I was using the T70 fro the trip around northern Italy. After Milan we visited Florence, and that was it! Milan was very nice, but the charm of Florence and Tuscany is something else.

On many of the images, like for example on this one, again the earthy tones dominate. On this one I made the mistake to not take the whole terracotta object in frame. But the rest of it is acceptable, I think. I'd be glad for any comments/critiques/suggestions.

Thanks a lot again for the explanation, Gustavo! Now I understand better. Indeed, I seem to have a special sympathy for such dusty, rusty colors many times. (I noticed that only after seeing many of my images first.) Let's see where that might lead me to.

Cheers!

Thanks a big bunch for that, Kiarang!

I don't know if I am yet able to really proceed into the more philosophic realms of photography. I have to perfectionize my methods first and a long way of learning is in front of me.

But with one thing you are right. I find the steady hunt behind an overkill of digital alteration, filtration, manipulation (and devastation ;-)) of photography to be both a very naive and also a very ridiculous concept. It's much like going to a church where reality gets completely distorted in order to satisfy some laughable need for "a higher godly sense" of all, instead of looking around and see what simply *is*.

And so for me an image of some real scene is both better in content and also more human, more down to earth. This is perhaps what I try to photographically get closer to.

A conflict with people in the neighborhood, or a joke with friends in the streets, or simply sitting on my balcony and looking the town and the lake, all that says more to me than some symbolical, allegorical, who-knows-what-ical Disneyland. It's exactly *this* world where I live, and it looks great to me as it *is*!

Cheers!

Digo que tenes un estilo particular, yo reconozco tus fotos con solo verlas, por algo muy particular en cuanto a los colores (un poco empastados) y a una forma muy propia de hacer las fotos.

Un abrazo!

Thanks a lot again, Gustavo!

I wonder what could be "my style". You mean perhaps coloring? Or something else?

Cheers!

That kind of colors was really predominant there, Dave. They gave the place a very distinct atmosphere far away from that of the grey concrete.

Many thanks for the nice comment again!

Exactly, Kiarang. For me such old things have much more character with all the scratches and crackles of time.

Thanks a lot!
