About A new small series under the name "Remembrance" starts with this one. All images were shot some years ago here and there, not really having any intention for a series like that. But after processing some of the images did really match each other very well, and so I thought of putting them all together. On this one I tried to get the special light and the mood as the railway station was suddenly so empty and silent instead of busy and full of noises. Any comments would be very welcome.

Hi Elahe, and a bunch of thanks for the detailed comment and interpretation.

On your interpretation: I guess that you emphasized on the solitude we share in common, which in itself does contain a familiar contradiction of being with others and yet an island for the own self. Perhaps it is just this that generates the balance between belonging in a group and still being individual. A good question to think about. It is possible at all to be individual if completely separated from anything and anybody? With what/whom might then somebody be compared in order to find the differences that make that somebody unmistakable?

My intention didn't contain anything more than a vague remembrance of the perspective, light, and people going to who knows where. But I am glad if this image caused such a mental activity to you.

On your comment about the image: I don't see any sea of which the color could be enhanced toward stronger blue hues. What do you mean with that "sea"? And with "trap door to the sea"? Perhaps the sky at the depth?

The histogram (attachment) of the image shows very low yellow components and so I wonder if I understood you right. I see a rather redish "haze" which is the result of the red components in the lights, as the histogram also shows. And it shows too a higher intensity of darker hues too. Could you perhaps elaborate on the dominance of yellow and on the too light colors?

Thanks a lot also for your work on the image and the attachment, which brought a higher contrast and more sense of a real scene in the railway station. It has a different touch now, as it became more tangible, and not as "vague" as I aimed to get it.

I used a vertical orientation for getting as much as possible from the leading lines both on the top as also on the bottom of the image, and thus for putting those people in the distance that the leading lines enhance - "away". Using a horizontal orientation would leave much of these leading lines out, I think.

I don't know if the higher contrast of your attachment does justice to the moment under that diffuse soft redish light. It stengthened the definiteness of the scence, but it also weakened its "vagueness". Still it gives me a hint of what to do at shooting time when I intend a more "tangible" look, which could be achieved with a film of higher contrast and more focus under a different light - perhaps at some other time of the day.

The furthest place
The sea might be the most infinite. Life is a try to end, a movement to darkness. My steps, your steps, trains moving one ofter another, waves and unknown people all go
With on aim. I watch from far away I see life which is quiet sometime and moveless
But so fast some other times. Istare at the end. Itake my steps . I have dreams so I move as fost a train in the light. I pass all the dark lines and spats. Ifill my lonlyness with an unknown person and still iam standing in the station alone. I see calm and shadows beside me but I donot fee their coldness because I loveto go . I read the signs and count the seconds until I reach the last station . I watch the absolute blue , and I smile. I look at above but I donot see. To breathe from square series and invisible lights. The trains, the lights, the rails, metal pillars and I all go to one place:extremity.
Ihear the soundof waves, therees no passenger in the shadows Iam not sure if thates the place to start or to end.itis strongpllars, it is silence and the darkness frightens me. It doesnot matter . Ilook at the lights Idonot want to ses the darkness, a bright rail, adork rail but I follow it with my eyes mayby it has something to say. Colors like red and blue. The photographer could use contrast (sharp) or color settings to give more indentity to the picture. Like the color of red in the train or blue in the sea or other parts in the end which are not so clear . thercould either omitted or get more clear using a close view. The picture has a sense of closeness,beingyellow and using lots of bright colors have made it boring. Maybe if the framework was abit closer and unfinished subjects were not used as much, the picture could be more beautiful. It is been making me think is the vertical framework trying to say something? Or the photographer jast wanted to use it? Why the photographer wanted to look at the view from left? Why hsnot he used lights and dorkness the same amount and put the picture in a equal position?maybe the lack of passangars and train have made him lost his ambition. The 90 degree angle which has been caused by the ceiling and pillars is destroyed by the trap door to the sea .the yellow color in the picture is destroyed by the blue sea, whit lights in theceiling and the cold black shadow. The calm and silence of the right empty rail is in contrast. Repetition of lights in the train eindows and the last comment is the dorkness in the left, a red is showing it is existence. Although it is so small, it shines and vanishesin darkness

There will be many "excursions" away from the street, Avi, but street will surely remain. So, after having trips here and there, I'll be always back on the streets - my own stomping ground, I guess. It's much like willing to see this and that too, but always knowing where we belong, we unshameful city rats! ;-)

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, and listen, don't hesitate being "nastily frank" - hey, we are the kids in the streets, we know to appreciate the truth, the nacked truth, ey? I am especially glad, as I said to Gustavo, to see that a small group evolves here in UF, of people that are directly interested for photography rather than for getting the highest possible personal glorofication. It's much like some kind of underground movement, I guess. So, we keep on just saying what we think, you, and Visar, and Andre, and Gustavo, and Kiarang, and the all the other guys. I am quite comfortable with that - who cares about politically correct statements when it comes to real and sincere exchange? I still prefer to know what you really think instead of the usual "ooohhh, great!", you know.

Let's see where that will lead us to. It already forms up quite full of possibilities, of which I am so eager to be a part of!

Emotive title. I like the lines and patterns, as well as those made up of light and shadow, the silhouettes, mood, and the vanishing point..all very interesting elements working together to make a great shot! Nice tones too, like just that hint of red! :)
