Although the sepia was preferred because of the over-exposed sky, I think it fitted the atmosphere.

I found that the sky in that part of the world created exposure problems for me. The best way to solve this problem at Picasa seemed to apply sepia tone, which brightened the darker areas while decreasing the contrast a bit.

I think I would have preffered black and white, but now you've told us why you used sepia I think you've made a good choice. It's a fine work, general composition is good and you've caught that decisive moment with her eye contact.

Actually yes, I tried in b&w, but I guess the sepia seemed more suitable because of the over-exposed sky.
