Ooohh, I like this a lot, Gerry. Beautiful composition and the reflections in the calm water...such a feeling of desertion, even if there were many people there...none are in your photo.:)

yeah it can be a bit daunting but well worth the effort.. I quite loved the place especially when we had a huge thunderstorm one afternoon.. all the tourists ran away and hid I got shots of St Marks.. empty.. there are some on this site. Love the muted tones of this image.. it portrays another side of Venice, which as you say is intriguing we got lost and found a brilliant restaurant one day whilst there... loved it. Excellent image
