About This was shot at Point Reyes about 60 - 100 miles north of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. Although it was July, the wind was so strong and cold, we wore thick jackets. I do remember a couple of girls came there wearing shorts and a thin T-shirts.. One of them from Denver was perfectly happy, while her asian friend ran and sat in her car..............................

I used Cokin Filters graduated blue to get the blue feel and coldness and loneliness to the shot.

Also remember this is the very same location where for the first time about 47 - 50 women stripped down completely naked in December or November 2002 and spelled PEACE using their naked bodies. That followed a chain reaction all over the world..

give me your thoughts.. thank you

Yes this is South Beach. We have micro-climates here and San Francisco is the like winter in the summer. I live in Fairfield about 40 miles away and it can get up to over the 100's for a couple of days at a time but the ocean winds usually make are climate mild during the summer. Sept and Oct are the best times of the year to come here.

Hello Subha,
Your use of the graduated blue filter convery the feeling of the cold and bleak very well in this composition.
I agree with Vincent that especially the near (2 large) waves have become hot spots. I'm no PS expert, but maybe the next person commenting can suggest the fixing of it in PS.

I think this is compositionally a very strong image, and I also love the glow of the horizon as well as the beauty of colors here. Yet, there is a very obvious concern that seems to be overlooked in the comments I have noticed.....the white-water has absolutely no detail in it. I have had this happen with Velvia on a very bright day, but am surprised with these type conditions. Is it perhaps with the scanner?? Some have a big problem picking up detail in the shadows and highlights. Otherwise very beautiful indeed!!

Hi, Subha.

You did it again....Very beautiful and poetical this one. An endless beach is my very best dream. Great colors, light and composition. Thanks.

P.S. Thank you for your construtive criticism on my last one. I think you're right. All I can say is that my originals are much better than my digitals. I ever lost dark details. Any tips on how can I improve them?

I can feel the cold creeping into my bones. A feeling that I hate. In this regard, you've achieved your goal. I like the composition - it's an eye-catcher. I am not sure about the lighting though - possiblly due to the mist or the ND filter. I prefer it framed. Once again, this my humble personal opinion. Overall - Very good (5/7) Best regards.
