About I have been accused of being a Pack Rat... well, this probably proves I am. I have things in the Jimmie Museum I did not know I had. Here is an example. This is the front of an envelope my grandparents received in 1969. Postmarked June 13. That would be just one month shy of my 11th birthday. (July 12, 1958) I was playing Little League baseball at this time. Also, the stamp was 6 cents. .06 in Yank dollars of the day. In 2007 dollars, that would equal .35 cents. And a stamp today is .42... HEY! What's up with that????? .42 in other money would be : .20 GBP, .40 CAD, .46 AUD, 46.49 Yen, .55 NZD and 2.23 NOK. Also, seems Franklin Roosevelt was the presidential stamp of the day. But this is not the important thing. What I really want to show you is the other side of the envelope. The side what shows why I have a 38 year old envelope in my collection.
p.s.- they also had "club" at the Derings... and couldn't spell worth a lick
