About It is nice to see such characters on graffiti, of which one can't immediately say what they represent. Then one starts thinking and many possibilities arise.

A politician, or a priest, or somebody else of those who speak and decide and tells us what to do. Perhaps also thinking about some certain political, or social problem / question / scandal / whatever, and reading what the graffiti guys write, makes us recognize similarities - or even laugh with some humorous representation of some situation.

Those graffiti guys know how to embed such things in their work.

Any comment would be very welcome.

Yes, this kind of urban art is something quite - how can I put ist in words - "romantic in its mystery" (??), or some kind of singular event that will never be repeated. If we add the fact that we don't even know those guys most of the time, then it gets even more stronger. A case for itself, I guess.

Hi Nick,
Usually about twice a week, I am held up on my way to work by a freight train. It never fails to amaze me how many of the box cars are almost completely covered in this kind of urban art. I suppose they raid the railroad yards at night and create their masterpiece, never to see it again.

Thank you very much, Dave.

I am quite happy with this one, since focusing on the flat wall proved to be harder than I thought it could ever be. So I'm very glad that you find it a good reproduction.

Many thanks for the nice comment, Andre! I can only hope that I do justice to their work with theses images.

It is exactly that social protest that makes many of the graffiti works so full of content, I guess. Some kind of visual satire on the walls. I admire most of all the fact that many too many of those guys do continue with their work even if they know that chances are that they will never be discovered. They just do their thing. It seems to be so strong and consequent when doing anything of arts but not for the applause.

I remember now: "Acknowledgement ist not everything, Mr. Potter!" ;-)

A real good point to start with any work of arts, I guess.

Thank you very very much, Avi! I'm glad if it gives you what you waited for.

There are some more frontal takes coming up. But unfortunately not as many as I wished I would have made. I think, I'll have to go to that raod again before the "fanatic cleaning monsters" arrive! ;-)

Cheers!

Hi Nick,
Yes, You have hit the graffiti jackpot with these images! You are right, graffiti has been used as a form of social protest for centuries. I'll bet there are many real undiscovered and unappreciated artists out there among these guys.
