Thank you again. :) Here is another version, with a slight darkening of the white element. I really appreciate your suggestions.

Regards, Adrian

Adrian:

That's suprising. Since you're using Adobe Photoshop CS2 I'd recommend selecting the white area on the bar and feathering that selection . . . adjusting the light to slightly darken it . . . and watching the border of the selection area, fine tuning using feathering. This is not entirely blown out and some detail remains visible. The crop you have proposed as an alternative is an improvement over the posted image (IMO), but still leaves the eyes (focal point) too centered for my taste. Of course, it's your work, so it's YOU that needs to be pleased!

Doyle I <~~~~~

Thank you very much for your suggestions, Doyle. Unfortunately, I don't know how to darken the vertical white bar, because that area is overexposed and no detail has left to work with. I like the crop you did on the image, but I think it's a little bit to much. What do you think about this version?

Outstanding...I would consider darkening the vertical white bar from which he is peering behind. Also....seriously consider pulling in the left side crop since it adds nothing to the composition and its elimination would enhance the rule of thirds for composition, making a more dynamic shot! (I have attached an example for you to consider). The DOF and clarity are VERY well done. All in all, this is a nice shot and the potential is there to be an even stronger shot! (Naturally, this is all my opinion). :)
