Hi Doyle I did remember what you'd told me about the f/22 aperture pulling the sun's rays and that was my whole reason to try this :))
Soooo happy you got a chance to see it...I also noticed the bench on the side like You mentioned ONLY after the fact:((
I of course took about 4-5 shots but this one still was my favorite even with the silhouetted bench...Thank You for teaching me new things ---I was confused before but think I understand better now :))

Excellent Michele!
Like a thousand glittering diamonds strewn across the surface of the Pacific. Absolutely beuatiful. Wonderful use of layers and almost perfectly composed. I say 'almost' only due to the presence on the right side of a bench or sign or whatever it is. A silhoueted person sitting there and gazing out would have made this (IMO) and absolutely perfect image. That Sun-Filter seems to have done you proud in this case. (Perfect title too)! Did you recall that at F/22 and up I mentioned you'd lose contrast but gain the rays off the sun? Because the sun is not actually IN the image . . . it didn't get a chance to be seen . . . but across the top, you'll note the presence of rays! And in shots like this . . . it makes a wonderful accent. Now a shot like this with the sun nearly setting would pull linear rays right out of the sun . . . :)

Wonderful shimmer. Great image for depicting shades of blue on the horizon. I think this one worked out very nicely. I agree that the texture of the water gives this a sort of abstract feel.

Awesome image Michele,lovely simmering effects,very peaceful mood.At f36 the image quality is very low plus IMHO
you don`t need such a small f-stop here.

Thank YOU so much my dear Nicki....I saw those little dark spots but honestly thought they were birds - lol... As there are so many gulls out there- BUT it could definitely need a cleaning from all of the images of sand I have taken....

Good shot Michele, well hope these are birds and not spots on your sensor...lol...I always have lot of tiny birds at my landscapes...even on macros because of the dust hahaha.... kidding.

So very relaxing and beautiful image my dear !!! The light is awsome ... it makes me feel so very energetic ... :))))... the graound in front in shadow than eyes are floating over the magnificent ocean till the horizon and this blue blue sky with just the line with clouds ... Michele, I do enjoy more than you can imagine ... strong and efective blue, forever blue :)))
