Thanks for your comment, Ciana. I agree with your statement about the background; I'll keep that in mind the next time I shoot an event like this!

Interesting shot! I suggest a wider lens to capture more of the lifeguard's head. The cut-off just doesn't work here in my opinion. I would also suggest having the background a bit more focused. After all, he is a lifeguard. Why not show a bit more of his work location?
