About Though I took this one for the series "Stationary traveller" it could fit in the series about trees as well. Again a comparison of the natural and the artificial methods to to things. Nature follows the path of making rather complex objects out of some few simple basic rules, while artificial objects exhibit no real complexity but have rather simple structures as results of application of rather many an rather complicated underlying rules.

What about the light here? I have the impression that the photo is a bit solarized.

You did recognize the main elements of this one very professionaly, Robert! And so I thank you for the short but meaningful comment.

I give film much more than a go, since I don't use anything else - at least until digital reaches the theoretical limits of at least 120-200MP, which is the nominal number of pixels of a usual film frame at 24mm x 36mm - not to speak about the gigantic MP number of medium format or even large format. Oh yes, it is much more cumbersome than the 1-2-3 digital approach, but at least one has much more reasons to sit down and learn, in order to deal in a serious manner with photography. Which of course does not mean that digital photography has to be unserious - not at all! It is only that the "easiness" of digital photography apparently made many too many think that the word "digital" is a warrant for best results without the necessary hard work. ;-)

Wasted pixels are the same as wasted film, as Mr. Anreas Gursky already said :-)

Best wishes,

Nick

I like this image and your take on it's inception. I also like the curvlinear distortion on the building, I feel it adds to the picture. Oh! and I also like people who still give film a go.
