About This little church now exists only to maintain its 1800s cemetary. In the Florida scrub, outside Gainesville. Comments appreciated. Anson

One of my first trips for a long while, Mary, and so pleased you like it. A small church in the "scrub", as we say in Florida, whose sole function is to maintain the quite large cemetary. Regards. Anson

The gentle dance of light and shadows creates a very inviting and somewhat mysterious, yet friendly feeling. This makes me feel like I am about to walk into a beautiful dream. Terrific shot.

Ahhhh what a beautiful photo, Anson.
This reminds me of the types of images I used to see in fairy tale books. The church looks really lovely and I love the way you captured it. great time of the day for the shootig, the sunlight makes for a very special atmosphere. I find it hard to imagine an old cemetery out there. The whole spot looks like a bit of a paradise on earth to me. In my mind I'm walking around there and it feels great!
Excellent work, Anson!!!
Best regards - Emgy

The movies shot in/at this little church were both documentaries, although one may have been Doc Holiday, starring Michael Fox. Regards, Nick. Anson

Hi Anson!

Oh well, there was no absence but only some very hard months while I decided to go for photography for living, and so I had to take part in photo exhibitions, contact people, run for photo sessions, etc. Even harder than to shoot a good photo it is to step in the direction photography for living, but after all it is enjoyment too.

Can you tell me the names of the movies? It'll be great to watch them and know that you were there and captured the church!

Best wishes,

Nick

That's quite a rating, Nacho, which this one probably does not deserve, but thanks much anyway. Hadn't heard from you in a while. I had reduced my picuture taking for a while because of other obligations. Regards. Anson

Hi, Nick, and good to hear from you after somewhat of an absence. This little church has always intriqued me. It has been the locale for at least two movies that I know about. Thanks for the very extensive and perceptive evaluation. It does seem special to me too. Regards. Anson

Almost the sight that some spectator could have, that comes from a different world, and this is the main strength of this one! A very strange atmosphere despite the fact that it is "only" trees and a church - very usual views of this world. This makes the mysterious feeling very very strong! Everything seems to be OK but still... there is something unexplainable on this one - some kind of hidden tension enforced not only ba the IR but also by the sepial like coloring!

A capture that also captures my view - giving a new sense to the word "capture".

Best wishes,

Nick

Anson:)
Thank you for your words. I never thought, that my paintings could call out such feelings. I think, that this is my road to the good photo, I have maybe to pass such stage, to to come to such skills I Yours. I admire Your offences and watch them willingly. I will dream so, that You to say some day can this alone about my pictures:)
I thank You for sincerity. I really value this.
I will think about this:)
I greet You the most warmly:)

First IR shot done in some time, Viola, so a little unsure about it. So happy you like it, though. Your landscapes are awesome. Anson

I try to capture an old look to the image and IR seems to provide that. Thanks for the comment. Anson

Glad you like this one, Ricardo. A faster shutter speed would have frozen the Spanish moss blowing in the wind, though. Thanks for commenting. Anson

Thanks for such a nice comment, Chuck. This little church, in its location, is hard to mess up, but I didn't have the skies I would prefer. Anson
