About More from yesterday... looking toward the sun while a low cloud covered the upper part of the hill behind town (part of the ski hill). A bit "burned out" at the top, but I thought it helps give the impression of looking toward the bright sun.

A magnificent capture of the great stillness! The toneality is right and the colour cast adds a hint of warmth. Gary, I agree that the blown out cloud at the top is a bit on the edge - but it still works to make this my favourite.

Thanks Yoshiyuki! well, if you want winter, come on over... with the amount of snow we have this year, we should have at least 2 more months of good snow! Cheers, Gary :)

Thanks for the comment Cathy. It really was a magical afternoon! The kind of day that makes the long winter all worth while. Cheers, Gary

Hi Betsy... well, I actually kinda like those dark trees on the edge so I didn't really think of cropping them. To me the act a bit like a frame and maybe even add a bit of depth to the image... But everyone has their own tastes. In photography no one is really wrong! (or is that no one is really right??? hahaha) Thanks for the comment. Cheers, Gary :)

Magical scene. I like the black and white of the trunks and the foliage, offset by the cold blues. Very nice. CC

Another awesome winter scene Gary! My eye is drawn to the dark trees up against the right edge, however. Have you tried cropping them out?
