About Amusement parks are a sad place to visit in the winter, no children screaming, enjoying.... This was taken in Coney Island, NY on cool February morning. Taken through the fence that keeps people out during the off season, the fence adds depth (I believe).

I like the weird shape of this, but I wish it was moving...

What fence Mike? It isn't apparent in this image. We sometimes feel something works but in reality doesn't because of our emotional attachment or or familiarity to something. The idea was good but it still lacks punch. There is obviously something that drew you to this shot, so go back and study the scene.
