Anson,

Oh, My goodness! I just got my present in the mail today. My computer monitor does not do this "Masterpiece" any justice.

What an "Awesome" print my friend... hehe I'm tickled pink... I just can't get over the "Amasing" detail on the paper you used...

You must email me on the spec's regarding your printer and paper selection... ;)

Thank you so very much,

Marty

I have fine tuned the PS work on these infrareds over the last year, so I appreciate your evaluation of it. Another one my wife has asked to be hung. Anson

Thanks, Robbie. A more dappled sky would have been better, but we don't seem to have that this time of year in Florida. Anson

My white balance is custom set at 2000, lowest PS2 can handle. Make sure all colors are within the histogram. Go to "channel mixer", pick red channel, set to about 70, bring blue up to about 20, pick blue channel, bring blue down to about 80, set red to about 5-10. I look for eliminating most of the blue tint while not overbalancing into the green. Give a slight tint of green to the foliage. Get out of channel mixer, go to photo filters under adjustments. Set filter to a deep red/orange, bring up slider for desired effect. I use CS2 but older versions should work. IR filter was Wratten 89B. Give it a try. Anson

Anson, great ambiance in this IR shot.

The use of the "panoramic" certainly helps with the feeling that one could walk straight into this photograph.

I'd be interested in your post processing (if you have the time).

I have tried IR with my Canon 300D, but it was the long exposures that lead me to seek out a DiMage, at least I could hand hold my shots.

Must go and check what other IR work you have in your PF.

regards
John

The novel "The Yearling" was written here in the early 1940s by Marjorie K. Rawlings. Thanks for the nice comment, Mary. Anson

You certainly may have a copy, Marty, if you will email me your address. I always will accomodate anyone who will have an appreciation for my stuff, and I have known you long enough to know that you will. My email address is hamoye@earthlink.net. I am in the process of exploring getting several made for folks here who have expressed an interest. Good to hear from you and thanks for the nice compliment. Anson

Anson,

I'm at a loss for words my friend. Amazing, and I think it's by far some of the very best work, that I have seen...

My I Please have this one to hang on my wall at home, for my private collection?

Well done indeed,

Marty

This conversion came pretty close to what I had in mind, Doyle, which sometimes is not the case. Light intensity plays a big part of that, I have discovered. Thanks for the encouragement. Anson

It is actually a stitch of 8 vertically oriented shots, Daniel, with a little bit of cropping, to create a panorama. Having little vertical relief, Florida lends itself well to that sort of approach. Very nice to hear from you, and so I can put your comment into perspective, how many infrared images have you seen? (just kidding). Regards, Anson.

This is a panoramic version of my very first post here on UF, Priscilla, but with a different camera, so the converted colors don't quite matchup. We returned from NC almost 2 weeks ago to find my computer trashed by a regional power surge, so have been slow in transferring hard drives and getting back to shooting. Thanks for the very nice words. Anson

The mood I sought here is not unlike what you have succeeded in doing with many of your images, Violetta. It would have been nice to have had a somewhat more interesting sky, but you work with what is given you. Please visit again, and thanks for the very nice comment. Anson
