Pat, I have not noticed the softening at 100 ISO, but your reasoning makes sense. Sharpening is such a variable issue. I sharpen to my monitor which is quite sharp but have no idea how others will see it. This image has quite a lot of depth and colour because I combined two exposures of the same RAW file.

Eb - Have you noticed that when setting ISO on 100 you get great color saturation, yet a hint of softness? For example, ISO adds grain which which provide a "sharp" looking image. Really colorful shot.
