About This shot is taken from inside a STEP WELL. There are many such step wells, build in a very traditional style to keep water clean and cool even in the hot summers of Gujarat, India. The are more like an underground monument 5 floor below the ground, allowing visitors to not only fetch cool water but sit and relax. wow !
This one is called as 'Adalaj Vav' (Adalaj Well).
