Nice shot! She's gorgeous!
About the portrait innocence, no it wasn't in color, I do have to work on my sharpness though. I've been having some problems with that. Thanks for your comments!

I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of using your photo to illustrate what I had in mind - I increased the contrast and brightness on her shirt and overall image and cropped it a bit. Just a suggestion.

Well, lets see... Myranda's got the look thing down, thats for sure. The strength of the foreground elbow in the composition is a distraction, although I'm not sure it wouldn't be if it were in focus. You may want to stop down the lens more to get more depth of field. Hard to say. I think there should be more light tones - need a real white in there somewhere, perhaps the stripes of the shirt could hold more contrast. Seems a little flat.
Now seeing that you're starting out with this photography thing, I'd give you a B+ because you have the idea in your head and you are working to carry it out. Bravo. I'm putting you on my 'friends' list and will offer whatever encouragement and comments I can.
Cheers

Nice composition, cute model too. Like a lot of my shots it seems like it could be a bit sharper, but that might be the scan (in my case, it's poor execution :-P). A few little white specks on the top are slightly distracting, but these are easily removed using the band-aid or clone tools in Photoshop. Cheers, Marc

OK, black and white is GOOD! The catchlight in the eye is also good. I like the pose, crop, scene. This is very well done Kelly. You kept the focus on the eye, which is critical in this type of image. I think that even the lack of smile can do nothing to detract from this photo. Good job!
