About this estuary is where the fresh water Salmon River flows down from the coast range meeting the salt water from the ocean. The mixing of salt & fresh water nutrients create a pyramid teeming with life from algae, to Salmon, to Bald Eagle. Some 250 species of fish, birds, mammals, and other animals use the estuary each yr. making it among the most fertile naturally occuring area's in the world.

I hope You like this image and a couple others from this estuary..

Hola, Michele! I must say I like this uncropped version better, but only because I really like the background view. You've got some gorgeous colors in this and your composition is perfect. Love the reflections, too.

Best wishes,
Dave

Hi Michele,

Diffeicult to chose between the 2 views. Each one has it's charme. The other one is more calm and has a clear subject on which the crop is focused.
The attraction of this one is the depth of the peaceful landscape. So I suggest, keep them both in honour. Good work, dear friend. Thanks fors sharing.

Wish you and yours all the best,
Albert

Dear Michele
Oh, I do like the cropped version, but of course it leaves out the entire feel of the landscape. Maybe you could crop the reflections above entire out of the photo? No matter what it is a great photo!:-)
Take care,
Annemette

Thank You so much Annemette ! I am glad you like it !

I did try cropping out the horizon to feature the birds more but the reflections in the water above the one segull ( behind really) looked too wierd to me... I'll add it in and if you get time you might have a look because I did think the same way as You...
Best Wishes,
Michele~

This is excellent, Michele! The composition, colours and light are all awesome. I also like the reflections in the water. Maybe you should try to crop the image leaving the horizon out to emphasize the two gulls more? A good shot nomatter what.
Take care,
Annemette

A very nice layered composition and the two gulls make great accents to the capture. Warm hues interlaced with the cooler colors . . . and nice reflections. Nice work.
