Thanks for sharing, Doyle! I almost feel the goldrush all the way up here in Scandinavia. Maybe I should have a go, but I wouldn“t like to be shot unless it was by a camera!:-) Best wishes, Annemette

Hey Annemette: As it happens, Michele and I lived in the same area (once upon a time) and I spent a lot of time in Auburn, Placer and Grass Valley . . . and mostly the American River and I used to pan for the stuff too!! You go up the river far enough and you'll still find some serious die-hards panning and often armed with guns to keep people out of their area! My friend pulled in a LOT of gold doing this . . . and placed it into clear tubes, hung on necklaces for his five daughters. Mostly just fun . . . certainly no way to make a living!
I love the capture of the swirling water and the light and shadows throughtout the image . . . great color and it seems very nice that the lower edge of the shot is all water. Nicely done!
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

Ha! Well were there might be Gold ... you will find adults !
During the 80's decade ...my family owned and operated a successful jewelry store in Auburn , Ca. 30 miles away from where Gold was first founf here in the USA... At that time there were still many gold minners who waited paiently at the door to Open every day because we bought their gold... flakes, and mostly or more costly......natural nuggets ! This image reminds me of the very hard work that it takes to make a living doing this !!!
Great image Annemette. Best wishes, Michele~
