About This beautiful reclusive HOLE IN THE WALL is so INACCESSABLE, that on my last two visits to the Carnarvon NP in central Queensland, the area was declared UNSAFE!.. And being a good law abiding citizen...
This Nat park is completely surrounded by arid land, yet inside the gorges and RAINFOREST areas, you could be in the TROPICS !

Thank you, again, M.
As usual your flamboyant prose never ceases to amaze and entertain me.
As regards the abbreviated OZ term, it doesn't much matter, but ya gotta throw in 'MATE' as you have done. Great stuff, mate! I don't go in for all that OCKER language, myself, but there's a bit of humour if the right person does it innocently, like " Have a CAPTAIN COOK (look) at that NOAHS ARK (shark) and so on...
Enough dribble, thank you Michele, for your kind input.
Kindly
JD

ahh 'help me mate' is it auzzie, or ossie...
a short version for Austrailia ? Anyway this is an amazing shot ... now I read you weren't in a boat, and used your Big lens to get this great image of color and water.
The light is amazing I just can't imagine where You actually were to get this excellent image !! Regardless it is educational and very beautiful .. A wonderful image JD !

No, Rebecca, there would have been RIPPLES in the water...I used my BIG zoom lens to get in close. Have you been there? If not, I note you are from these parts, you should treat yourself to this beautiful PHOTOGRAPHIC wonderland! It is a fair way out off the beaten track, though.
Thanks for your comment,Rebecca.

Thank you, Fabrice, for your feedback. I did get soaked, as there was water dripping from the open top of the cavern, and I was trying not to disturb the natural moss/ rocks, etc
Cheers
