Here is my suggestion for the light correction. I did not care too much edges so it was not smooth everywhere I just wanted to show what I meant in my previous comment. Probably it makes the face more expressive. But ? I don?t know?

Beautiful capture of the eyes here, Verna. I like the crop, and the great use of color, in particular , her hair. I like the lighting, as it adds to the atmosphere of the image.

I like the coloring of this photo. The only minor negative to me is the value of the skin tones being brighter on her chest/neck instead of her face but it carries well regardless. The hard shadow is not a problem here and may actually give this a more theatrical feel. Pose/expression are first-rate but I see the forehead getting a bit shiny, perhaps needing a slight makeup retouch.

By the way, did you use artificial light for you shot?
If so how did you light your model?
Yes, one spot with snoot.
And did you try to tweak the picture in PS to correct the light particulary on the neck?
I have no problems with this light on the neck, sorry if your bothered, must be your own personal taste & likes vs dislikes.
Your free to copy and try different effects on it and repost it here.

I agree with you about my shot - the light was too weak just because of at that time I did not care too much about light.
By the way, did you use artificial light for you shot? If so how did you light your model?
