About While shooting medium format BW for a client, I switched off to 35mm for some color exposures for a lighting reference. I was using a small parabolic bank for my key light and created kind of a tent light effect by adding a hair light and background flood. We had white styrofoam flats on the sides and a white reflector on the table in front of her at about waist level.
I pulled this from the original color, because of its harder edge. The desaturation and the addition of the blue filter emphasized the affect I found most pleasing.

Thank you, Jan, for your comment. I did try a little less blue, but I lost some modeling, particularly in the cheeks.

The post on this was somewhat experimental, but with CS2 and dual core processors it makes experimenting very easy. I am thinking seriously of attaching contact sheets from the Hassleblad for comparison purposes - quite a difference.

Quite a tint & glow; very smooth skin with well defined image; I think your trials here resulted in a winner. Quite a stunning effect. Might have tried just a very very slight ligtening of the blue tint; not sure unless I saw it that way.
--Regards, Jan
