About Tried another one the "Stieglitz way". The low light of wintertime is ideal for such a lazy focus, letting everything appear tired but also moody.

That building, bingo again!

I understand exactly what you mean, Annemette, and I also have the same feelings about that. This just has to be done again without the sky. But instead of using PS I'll go there again with another set of lenses and make some shots from other perspectives in order to get rid of the sky. Let's see.

I hope the cars would stop if I would be standing in the middle of the street ;-)

Take care and thank you for the idea and the thoughts that help me a lot to go further in photography.

Keep well, keep it up!

Nick

Dear Nick
I can see that it“s difficult cropping all the way down because of the building. If I was you I“d use the tool for copying effects and pasting them on another side of the image. Thereby you could get rid of the sky which creates a more strong and fascinating image with a dark background and the sense of having a very local experience. It“s difficult for me to explain this. I hope you understand what I mean:-)
Thanks for taking my advice. I really appreciate it!
Best wishes,
Annemette

Sleepyland indeed, but the photographer decided to be one of the few out there ;-)

Cropping the sky off you say? Bingo! The first photo I made of that place had much more of the sky on it. This here was the second and I liked it more than the first because it had less sky. But I was not consequent enough. How about the attached image?

Stay well,

Nick

Most of the sky cropped off

Thanks a lot Pablo!

Indeed I was trying to get that special feeling of those incomparable movies of the past that transmitted so much social critics.

Best wishes,

Nick

Sleepyland. A few out there and the rest burried at home in pillows.:-)
I think I would have cropped this one, Nick, removing the sky, but that“s just my humble opinion:-)
Take care,
Annemette
