Hi Michele,
Cactus was a good guess as they originated in Africa, although I believe there are some sub- species in Australia. From the shape and fleshiness of the leaves, they probably grow in mostly arid climate.

Wow John ! What beautiful flowers ...Are they cactus ? I appologize for not knowing my flowers names so well... but I thought I'd give it a try. They look like they are ready to bust open any second !

I took the liberty of perusing your portfolio B4 replying to your comment. You do have a fairly wide and varied collection, mostly good composition and structure.
I also agree that it does take TIME and PATIENCE
to hone your experience to improve.

Yes, I guess 'handsome' is a good analogy. I looked at the stance as 'Proud' with his chin tucked in as if to say....'One for....'
