City - Alice Springs State - NORTHERN TERRITORY Country - Australia
About
Surrounded by hundreds of miles (Kms) of some of the HARSHEST desert on the planet, the Ormiston Gorge just north of Alice Springs in Northern Territory is a welcome relief and a much sought-after TOURIST destination. After YEARS of drought, this waterhole is always available as a source of reliable water for indiginous and travellers alike...
I get over the ditch quite a bit - have done a bit of travel in western NSW - but most of my time is either spent in Sydney, Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast. Am hoping to get over to Perth later in the yaer - and will definitely be taking a camera
Thanks Mike, for your comment. If you ever get the chance to get to OZ and want to do something different, MIDSUMMER is the BEST time to look at the Outback. Sure the temps are up but the humidity is down but the animals and vegetation are prolific... Cheers mate JD
