how is the lense treating you? i have sigma 50-500 but its too heavy to carry around.

The black background, the strong yellow beak and the intense expression all combine to make a very powerful image. The exquisite detail couldn't be better if the bird was here in the flesh. Beautiful work. CC

Thanks for the critique, looking at the image I'd say you're right, slightly more space would enhance the image. I'll have to manipulate the picture as the cropping was done in camera not post processing.
