It would be a mistake to judge this picture on the merits of your other submission, this stands alone as being a good photograph, a little "too in the centre" but the lighting is very good

I far prefer the other one Meg, it has far more character. This one especially the lighter blue sky does not work well with the water. Composition wise it is not at all bad though IMO, though maybe level it in PS :) Overall the lighting is not as good as the other shot, but I do like the lighting under the bowl in this one. You were right, the other one is better :)

I like the fountain better in this shot because you have eliminated the foreground. The lighting is once again great, but I am not sure about the composition. The crane in the shot could be cloned out, but there is something about the column position that doesn't quite work for me.
