Yes, this this is indeed a huge spring-fed salt lake. The water which flows from here is quite hot, so hot that Kenyans from miles around come to do their laundry in the "soapy" spring water. And also, the skies are huge everywhere... Thank you for the comment, Annemette.

The people in the photo are (from right to left): my wife (remember her?), our Masai guide, and the good wifes' parents. I'm glad to know that we can participate together here when our schedules are too hectic...

Very nice Chris . . . looking forward to more too. A word of caution . . . watch the all important horizon line . . . it looks like a slight tilt down on the right side and I've seen otherwise perfect photos spoiled by that. Minor point here and great picture . . . just wanted to bring that to your attention. :)
Regards, Doyle I <~~~~~

I am so happy that you have joined usefilm! The salt lake is beautiful…who are the people and why are they crossing it? I can't wait to see more of your trip! Thank you for renewing my excitement for this website once more. I started posting again today.

This is one of many salt lakes in Kenya. The popular Pink Flamingo resides in such lakes. I hope to post many more of these photos from our trip to Kenya. Thank you for the crit- all within just a few minutes of posting!
Here is one to amuse you.

This is an unusual photograph. If the people were absent the viewer would think this is a lake with water. Unless these are gods walking on water or Kenya has had a sudden freeze, then this is not water???? I'm intriqued. Cathy
