Actually I was not being critical, an open space would have added separation to the tree in the scene. a small distraaction ofr some but an excellent exposure.

This is a brilliant image. The blue amazing. And the light and the atmosphere.

you are not the only one with that critism, the error was when pic was taken ...frame is digital and just surrounds pic.

you are right. the tree is chopped a little...another commented too on same thing. my critic corner pic was supposed to be East berlin 64 which like your harbor pic needs to be seen full size to see the interesting aspect. the swan in your case and the red and white car in mine. I havnt been using this site , so I forgot the critic aspect as being real critism. now your critism seems glaringly accurate, at least as far as the top of the tree goes.

Excellant work! Althought the frame may have caused the tree tops to extend beyond the photo? I little more info on the shot would have been nice but doesn't detract from the photo.

Don't get me wrong, I think it is a wonderful photo, I am always trying to find ways to improve my work and I figured since you put it on this page you wanted contructive criticism. It really is tough to judge such a delicate scene on the monitor.

I know what you mean by the absolute beauty. Its hard to photograph, there is only one angle thats great, plus it melts fast when the sun comes thru

thankyou, there are some hoar frosts here , but the time (usually short) when the sun shines is the time to be at the right place at the right time

Nice feeling, like the deep blues and white. The way the path to the left fades off is nice,

you are kinda picky on the top of the tree. As far as blurriness goes, it was a hoar frost. where fog freezes on the trees. Its foggy on part of the picture.

It is almost impossible to capture the full sense of beauty of a clear winter day with a hoar frost in the trees; you have come very close, well done.

Very nice photo. I don't suppose you could have included the very top of the tree in the frame? Could you have eliminated that blurry stuff on the left or is it part of the plan? It may look better in the print, it is hard to judge subtle details in a small computer screen image.
