Many thanks Ray ~ I appreciate your valuable comments... with this image I was trying for an abstract image to enhance the many shades of Spring ~ rather than just a floral shot (as I have many snowdrop shots already) ~ I thought about just leaving the image with the zigzag design but decided to put back in the flowers to show the source... does this make sense?? thanks again for your input... susie

Beautiful little flowers with great details and a lovely delicate dab of green in the petal. The postwork effect is certainly very eyecatching and extremely powerful and I wonder if it is a little too much for those fragile little flowers. I love the original shot and admire the postwork. All the very best dear Susie.....Ray

Thanks Alex ~ I had thought of putting the BG layer into soft focus but decided I liked the sharp lines better.. perhaps I'll play with it some more later ~ cheers for commenting! susie

Yes, in fact this photo caught my eye. This is all about catching attention isn't it? Nice PS work... but it seems the background assumed the leading place (in my opinion). Alex

Thank you Erica and MariLeN for your comments .. they are appreciated :) I made a duplicate layer and played with the polar co-ordinate filter in PS until I got the design I wanted, then added back the original layer erasing all but the snowdrops. Hope this makes sense ~ I did this one early in the year and trying to remember my exact steps! susie

The effect you used on this photo caught my eye. I love how you left the flower and made the background abstract. Fantastic.
