Great title for this one which is also important for an image.
The blur sure makes it a bit spooky and surreal as if it could be alive almost! I prefer this one in sepia.

Hi Marcus,
No kidding! The first thing a dentist asks up here is what plan are you on? My dentist even jokes with me about it. He tells me there is a certain amount of money he can get out of every tooth, and it is up to him to do his best to take every tooth through all the different procedures. Even with a decent dental plan, it is still pretty expensive. Of course all kids these days just have to have braces! That's another story. No dental coverage for braces! Don't get me started!!

I have figured out what has happend here LOL, this guy had some front teeth problems, visited the dentist a few times they told him what was in store for him and how much it was going to cost and he just decided to end it all LOL so it was a suicide.....

I had to laugh at your comment about the teeth :)
I just broke a tooth the other day myself.
I'm not sure how old this jaw bone is. It is amazing how it is all starting to decay, but the teeth seem perfect.

Hi Hugo,
No, I don't think you should be too worried :) I've always liked to experiment with the darker, fantasy type images every now and then. Whenever I find myself getting too morbid, I'll pop right back with some lighter stuff :) I thought about doing some other work with this one, as you suggest, possibly isolating certain areas with complete sharpness. I think I'll leave this one alone for now and try that idea on another image.
Now, just to prove I haven't gone completely to the dark-side, I've attached an image of a scene from last night. A live version of the above! A little too soft to post, due to low light and camera shake.

Wow Andre this is awesome, you really gave in a morbid look and feel. Amazing work, hey this guy has better teeth than me and hes dead LOL.

Hi Andre, I hope I shouldn't get worried about all these gloomy and decaying elements you've been showing us recently? I like this one more than the previous one, primarily because the tonal range is more balanced. Not sure if I find the fuzziness an addition. Maybe you could've erased part of the top layer, showing the teeth in full focus whilst leaving the other parts as soft as they are? Just a thought....

I've been holding on to this one for a little while. I posted a few other skull images a few weeks ago and felt maybe people would think I was too morbid, but what the heck, I think they are fascinating subjects.
Just a little history on this one Thilo. I am fortunate enough to live just walking distance from a region just east of Toronto called the Rouge Valley. When Toronto started spreading out to the country, back in the early 50's, The Rouge Valley was kind of a stopping point. Builders couldn't build too close to the river because it was on a flood plain. So, I live on the last street in Metro Toronto. I don't have to go very far to be surrounded by beautiful woodlands and marshes. Just yesterday, a large White-tailed Deer jumped out right in front of me while I was on my way back from my walk. (took some photos, but poor quality due to darkness) A few weeks ago I found this jawbone in an area where I'm sure not many people have been for a while. Amazing, considering it was only about 45 minutes walk from my house! I left the jawbone right where i found it and it will probably be there for years to come.

A lot of my wildlife and landscapes that are in my "Close To Home" portfolio are all taken withing 10k of my house.

I prepared these two a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't decide which one to post. I wasn't sure which I liked better. Usually I would go for this sepia version over the colour. As you say, it just seems more natural with this process. That's one of the reasons why I went with such a low saturated colour version. After seeing them a few times myself, I'm still undecided. But that colour one is growing on me:)
I'll attach a small straight shot later on.

I think I like this version best Andre. I'm not sure why, but I think the sepia just lends itself better to this type of photo. It does have a surreal feeling, I might like to see it without the blur...? Nice find and identification!
