About Taken in Helen, Ga back about 2000.
This young woman was sitting on a deck well above where I was standing. It was fairly early morning, the sun was still bright from a new morn.
I used a Minolta stsi Camera and 100mm -300mm lens, tripod and cable release. ( Yes, I tweaked color a little with P/S)

Chuck, this always happens to me also. I take a photo and then somebody simply sees things that are there, but I didn't see them until he or she tells me so.

Could it be that much of the photographer's work is somehow instinctively done? I mean you just do the right thing, and don't even notice, until somebody says so?

THanks Nick: You have a poetic eye for seeing things much further than I can. I never realized that this is indeed this was a new type beginning for this scene. Very insightful!!

Thanks Nick. You are right the rails are a little "soft". I do not remember doing it on Purpose. I was using a 300mm lens so I might not have had quiet enough Depth of field.
Thanks a lot.

Chuck, I dare state that this could be one of your all time classics! It just "smells" like Chuck!

My eyes are lead by the curves of the railing that in turn seem to build up the girl's contures, just as if somebody had curled the railing by applying it on the models body. And the strange thing is that though the railing is hard metal, it looks really very smooth in your photo.

I treid once to do something similar but the results were disastrous (to me at least) since the railing I had looked like a threat rather than anything else.

Could it be because your railing is a tiny subtile bit out of focus? Just as much as it need to let it look so smooth?

Anyway, great work!
