Verna,
Your "Sophisticated Miss" is a beautiful portrait. Many of your children/people images have a quality of warmth and connection to you, the photographer. You always show the beautiful, respectful side.
Thank you for your comments.....The LOC acquired 20 of my photographs from 1999 till now. Mostly Native American and American cityscapes.

Ah yes, Verna. This little angel is my favorite of all the people you have photographed. She's a natural. You have crafted what is to me a nearly perfect portrait of her. The hat and her hands frame her face so nicely. The tones are magnificent. Just wonderful work.

I agree with Donna in that it looks like it was taken in the Forties. Did you take this photo with the B&W result in mind, or was it an afterthought? It is very effective here. The pose although deliberate, adds to the old-fashioned feel and is perfect. She looks wonderful.I also love the darkened corners. It is simply great. Good on you.
