Cute chickadee, Ashley! I'm surprised they eat anything other than sunflower seeds. We go out and hand feed them, but they pick only the sunflower seeds. Otherwise, they're really friendly, and take turns landing on our hands :)

Ashley: Well caught! They can become remarkably tolerant of humans if food is involved. My wife's parents lived in Cape Vincent, NY for some time and we visited Kingston and Wolf Island a few times. It's a lovely area.

Nice capture, Ashley! I like the way that the body, head and tail are focused but the wings are a blur! So nice that this little guy performed for you!

These little guys are great for getting this kind of shot! It's amazing how fast a shutter speed you need to freeze their wings!
