the underlying narrative is completely opaque to me but the imagery is as ever deft and wonderful... I once walked those lands but alas have forgotten how to tread there.. there are vestiges torn fragment memory patinad with age but that is all I know have left.. bon voyage

It's a twig! Could be a tree but is in fact a twig! I like the way You put this entire collage together and the kind of random symmetry this has.I really like the text and font! Well done lan!

The shadow of a solstice tree Then? This colaboration thing sounds fun (actually neccesary if I'm to go on). You're welcome to extend anything here. I could send you larger files if that's useful Fabio. Sadly I can hardly speak for maori culture either Fabio aside from a few token symbols I have actually been given permission to pass on... Even harder to speak for Pakeha culture... Pakeha New Zealanders kind of blind to their own culture (a side effect of being the dominant culture) and no neighbours to compare ourselves to hence I look to europe and James K. Baxter. Still what harm could some hawaiian dancers and maidens rising out of purple lakes do?

attached another idea for your text: YGGDRASIL in futharken on overlay on some kind of crappy winter solstice jul tree... to give an idea, how rune-sticks were used and probably seen as a tool for adivination...thrown like the twigs of your axis tree :)) (of course, not with this clear cut semitransparent rectangular shape... you'll have to rework it... if you'll permit, I'd be all too happy to make something like a collaboration on that stuff... your ideas are striking in all dimensions. you could do the viking part and I'll try to do the maori counterpart (but they had no alphabet, didn't they? never mind I got some fake-phantasy-fonts at hand:))

well, any tree started as a twig once... also yggdrasil :)) (did you get my nitpicking on your last posting? here the problem would be more acute: the entire verse should/could be done in futharken! (and in gilded letters, please!:)) the center picture is excellentissimo, imho
