Q. Colours and contrast in Photoshop vs other applications - HELP !!

Hello fellow photographers !!

I have an interesting problem that i cant find any solutions to - yet... Whenever I view and edit photos in photoshop, the images are always darker and more contrasted than in other applications (eg MS word, Outlook , and for publishing on my website etc.

The same images - just look completely different. I dont see how it can be my monitor config as i'm using the same monitor for both all applications ! Which version do oether people see when I send them e mails , and when they visit tmy website ?

Any help on this would be VERU VERU welcome !!

this is one example - washed out in outlook and all other applications except for Photoshop !!!
