Q. Sycnh Cord and Bronny not talking to one another!

I've recently purchased two white lightning Ultra 1800's. I was doing some portrait work and things were going just fine when all of the sudden the Bronny ETRS I was shooting stopped communicating with the flash via the synch chord. I hooked the synch cord to my flash meter and things worked just fine. I hooked it to my 35mm system and again...no issues at all.
So, I thought...maybe it's the body of the bronny. So, I switched out to my back-up Bronny body and bingo....same problem. No communication between the Bronny (this time an ETRC)and the flash system.
I'm using a 75mm lense with a 2x extension.
Any hints, suggestions, advice???

It could be that the connector on the synch cord has gotten streched so that it doensn't like making contact with the bronica connector, and the connector on the bronica is just differant enough from the connector on the meter, and the 35mm body. Paramount makes a little tool to reshape the ends of the connectors, which might be helpfull. I'd also try a new synch cord.

Actually, I think I've solved the problem. When I removed the 2x converter (taking my "150mm" back to its original 75mm) things worked beautifully. I think the converter/extender prevented the camera from communicating with the flash.
I'm shooting some models and motorcycles tomorrow...I hope the 75mm will do the trick! If not, I'll have to shoot it in 35mm.
