Your're right on this one, words can't describe it. Sure looks breathtaking, lucky you that you were able to get there. Looks like there's quite a drop off in this shot, be careful Jim.

I didn't get up in time to see a Grand Canyon sunrise, and now I regret it. Your capture is superb. I like how you caught the light comming off the top of the canyon. I am sure it was an aww enspiring event. All the best

To visit the Grand Canyon is one of my travel ambitions, but in the mean time its good to see the various views that photographers capture. From this image Jim its obvious that I'll have to make the effort to go at sunrise as well as at sunset & in the middle of the day & when its raining ... :)

Nicely done with the exposure of the whole scene, the rays of sun make this one for me.

This is a wonderful scene. I love the way we can see the line of the sun rising over the hills. Sunrise and sunset often have such gentle feeling light. A unique view of the Canyon.

Nice shot. The upper 2/3 looks like an oil painting. Great subdued colors. Brings back memories of my trip to the north rim.

Very nice composition and quite an accomplishment to get correct exposure on the sunshine lit foreground AND the bottom of the shadowed canyon.
